It’s no secret that I’m a product junkie…

It doesn’t matter if its a product for hair, nails or skin – I WANT IT! I love trying new products and passing the tips on to you, so I threw together a list of new Fall 2020 beauty drops that I can’t wait to get my hands on. Check them out down below!

The Butter HydraSilk Primer + Antioxidants ($24)

I’m not usually one to get excited over a new primer, but I adore Beauty Bakerie and the Butter Hydrasilk Primer sounds bomb (plus the packaging is super cute). This unique primer has tons of great benefits. For starters, it’s lightweight, hydrating, and moisturizing. The Butter Hydrasilk Primer comes in a solid stick formula for a quick and easy application that goes on smooth like butter. This primer is infused with Goji Berry Extract which helps to minimize the appearance of pores, fine lines, and give your skin a healthy glow.

Fenty Skin – Instant Reset Overnight Recovery Gel-Cream ($40)

I have been using the other Fenty skin products for a few months now and I’m happy with them. The Fenty Skin Start’rs are all very hydrating, lightweight, and give your skin a glow that you won’t forget. I expect no different from the Instant Reset Overnight Recovery Gel-Cream. Rhianna says that she wanted a night cream that would reset her skin and relieve it from all the stress of the day so that you wake up fresh, nourished and glowing. Some of the benefits of Instant Reset are that it instantly hydrates, reduces the look of fine lines, wrinkles, pores, and dark spots. Instant Reset will be a great addition to the Fenty Skin line!

Kalahari Melon Oil – Hydrates and is rich in antioxidants.

Hyaluronic acid & Aloe – Soothes, conditions, and hydrates skin.

Niacinamide – Reduces the look of dark spots, evens skin tone, and fights shine.

The Lip Bar – Caffeine Concealer ($15)

The Lip Bar known for the “Five Minute Face” and vegan lip products has dropped their very first concealer. I don’t think you can ever have too many concealers! You need your super coverage concealers for your full-face days, and your light concealers for natural makeup days, I think this may be the one for you natural days.

According to thelipbar.com, this concealer has a sheer, buildable coverage that’s easy to blend. Caffeine Concealer is a self-setting, brightening concealer with a quick and easy application. Just put few dabs to your under eye with the doe-foot applicator, then blend and pat with your ring finger. The Caffeine Concealer is infused with caffeine, which helps hydrate and smooth under eyes.

Coconut oil: Hydrating , reduces inflammation, diminishes the appearance of under eye circles.

Caffeine: Reduces the look of puffiness and dark circles.

3 Of My Favorite 2-in-1 Beauty Products

Everyone knows that beauty products can become quite pricey so its always nice when one product can be used for multiple things. I have picked three of my favorite 2-in-1’s:

Dior – Dreamskin Skin Perfector (1 Oz. – $85 / 1.6 Oz. – $115)

Dreamskin Skin Perfector is the final step in your morning skin care routine, right before makeup. Dreamskin is an instant skin perfecter; a lightweight skin treatment and makeup primer all in one. This product applies to your skin like a serum and will immediately boost your skin’s radiance and blur any imperfections. Over time Dreamskin will help to improve your skin’s texture, the look of dark spots and pores.

Tips for Healthy, Glowing Skin

Some days you wake up & A) Don’t have the time to apply a full face or B) You’re just not in the mood to do all the extra. I’m giving a few tips on keeping a beautiful radiant complexion even when you’re serving a natural slay, because beautiful makeup always starts with beautiful skin!

 Stay Hydrated!

Drinking water helps to replenish your skin’s tissue & increases its elasticity, so make sure that you are drinking at least 8 – 8 oz. glasses of water a day to stay hydrated from the inside out! If you find it hard to drink water try infusing your water with some fruits or veggies that are packed with water or just add the fruits and veggies to your diet.

Here are a couple fruits/veggies that are packed with water:

watermelon

cucumber

iceberg lettuce

tomatoes

strawberries.

Get a Routine Going!

Make sure that you have a Daily Skincare Routine that you are following!

cleanse – makeup removal (If you wear makeup use makeup remover for cleanse #1)

cleanse – cleanser

exfoliate –  toner

moisturize – serum/moisturizer

prep – makeup primer

Protect Your Skin!

Be sure to wear a hat or visor anytime you are enjoying time outdoors.

Wear sunscreen & reapply sunscreen

Treat Your Skin!

Mask: Masking once a week is really important, depending on how my skin is that is how I decide what mask I what to use (detoxifying, moisture, oil control, brightening).  Sometimes when I have a little extra time I might even whip together a DIY mask.

Facials: Treat yourself to facial at a spa!  Facials can run you a pretty penny, but if you find a local beauty/ skincare school most times they have offer facial services at a discounted price.

Exfoliate: make sure to exfoliate 1 – 2 Times per week. Exfoliating is important because it helps to remove the barrier of dead skin cells clogging the skin and uncovers fresh new cells below. I usually exfoliate on days that I am also masking to give my skin an extra special treat.
